Hi Jan!
Hi there!
Good Day to you….been a while for me to communicate. Argus is doing well and thought you might like to see some updated photos. He sends his love to Mom and Dad. He is growing like a wild weed. He was at 82lbs a little over a week ago. Must be at least 85 or more today. He also was the head of his class at PetsMart puppy class.Take
Care…Terry Sorry it has taken me so long to get back with you regarding Zander. I have been enormously busy lately and the time I do get I like to sit and relax with my buddy watching some movies or finish up the day with a little run. Thus far I couldn't have asked for a better companion. Zander has become not only my best-friend and very dear to me but has also caught the attention of the whole town. Every time I take him somewhere everyone stops and has to pet him, tell him how cute he is and of course, ask where his saddle is. Last time I took him to the vet he weighed in right under 135 lbs. He just had his second birthday and man is he big. I get home from work and he loves to jump up to welcome me, laying his paws across my shoulders and licking my face. I bet he is every bit of my height (5'7") if not more. My family loves him also and he and the kids get along great. He is a great listener and stays in the yard without direction. He also handles himself very well in the truck since he loves to go for a ride so much. If I tell him he can go with me his ears perk up and he gets all excited and waits at the door until I'm ready to leave. I couldn't have asked for a more loyal companion than him and a more beautiful dog. Again, I thank-you for allowing me the opportunity to experience life with a Great Dane. I am so satisfied with him I'll be sure to look you guys up again when I'm ready for another which should hopefully be shortly. Thanks again! I have also attached a couple of pictures. There will be more to come soon. I just have to break him from being camera shy lol.Joe Wolford Van Wert, Ohio I just wanted to send you a note to say thank you. I am so happy that I share my home with Elias! I couldn’t be happier. I have to say he is by all accounts the best puppy I have ever seen. He is so calm and loving, everyone he has met falls in love with him! He was potty trained by the first week and has learned sit, down and release very quickly. He is also making many friends at the Puppy Park by our home. It is so cute to see Elias play and keep up with his Golden Retriever friends. There are Great Danes that come there, but we have not been able to meet up with them! He comes with me to work with me and if I get up to get a file, he climbs in my chair and presses the keys on my computer! You should see the size of his feet, my vet thinks that he will be a very, very big boy! I have attached a few pictures so you can see how he has grown. Thanks to you and to your parents for plowing through all of that bad Chicago weather to bring him to his new home. Regards, Taylor and Elias
To: rvr@familydanes.com Subject: Fiona Hi Jan, I just want you to know that Fiona is Great. She was spayed and micro chipped and is fully recovered and doing fabulous. We are feeding her Bill Jac dog food Large breed. She loves it! She's 120 Pounds now and about 5ft 7 inches standing up. She just got a brand new pink sparkly collar and leash and she is an expert car rider. She has to go even to the corner store with me every time. Everyone loves her. When we go to the pet store to get her food I can never get out of there because every one wants to pet her. She was jumping up but we have completely eliminated that with help from her trainer and much persistence. She can be a handful as she gets separation anxiety even though she is left alone for no more than 5 hours ever! She still sleeps in a king size Sterns and Foster lol and just for a laugh I thought I would tell you I had a friend stay over for the weekend and she slept in my room. Fiona peed on her while she was sleeping. Could you Die! It was so funny. She didn't think so but I think Fiona was letting her know that her bed is off limits! Luckily for me I have a waterproof Mattress cover due to my 2 year old. She is not nipping anymore she grew out of that so her and Timmy are getting along great now. He's learned as she has that he is the boss of her! He can walk her on a leash no problem. She never pulls on a leash thanks to her trainer Shelly from Cairn Dale Kennels. She's my little princess. Her vet loves her! Or maybe his new Mercedes due to her huge vet bills lol. She's my best friend and I just want to thank you and I cant wait to see your new litter. I do still want a little brindle boy and I will wait as long as it takes. I will send you a pic of her and her new collar and leash as soon as my husband gets off the desk top all my pics are on that computer and Fiona and I are laying in bed with the lap top like the lazy princesses that we are lol. Have a good day! Heather

Got a clean bill of health. He sure is growing fast. Certainly keeps me on my toes. Its so neat to watch him grow into his own personality more and more every day. He gets along fantastic with my sheltie. Is constantly looking for him if hes not there. He snores SO LOUD! I can only imagine what he will sound like when hes full grown. He loves being around anyone that comes over. But, he hates it if anyone sits next to mom. That's his spot and he doesnt really like to share it. Its pretty darn cute. Oh also, hes got a lot of blue spots on his now big white toes. Some blue spots are coming through on the white spot on his chest as well. He's getting more and more handsome every day. Thanks so much for producing such a wonderful dog! I sure do love him. Also, was wondering if Blue had her litter of pups yet? Hope everything is going well with you. Have a wonderful holiday!! Anyway Sirius is growing so fast and we're loving him up. He's so smart and funny and rowdy. He got to visit some fellow danes. A friend of mine has two danes- one adult, one teenager . Sirius had a ball with them and slept like a rock when he got home. He gets car sick. We're trying to take him on short rides to help him outgrow it. I'm again interested in getting a female. Got any litters on the way? I'll try sending a picture again after this email. At least this I'm sure will go through. Thanks for our beautiful baby. We really love him. Loon (Lynette)
HI Jan, Shanti is doing great. She didn't seem to be stressed at all. Her cage was clean!! She has moved in like she owns the place. It is really cute. My daughter and her are becoming great pals. They get along really well. Later this week I am hoping to get a few cute pictures to send back to you. She is such a ham. I love her to death. I want to thank you very much. She is very well behaved!!!!!! Thank you very much. Channa To: River Valley RanchSent: Saturday, October 01, 2005 8:38 PM Subject: My little man Hi Jan. I just wanted you to know that where ever I take Koty, people just love his color and markings. They are always asking me where I bought him. They say that they have never seen a dog of that color before. He is doing really well. This Monday night he will be graduating from puppy class. He gets along with our shepherd. He keeps her busy. I just love him. When I get some good pictures and will e-mail them to you. Thanks again, Marge Krenn

> Jan, Fiona is now 15 pounds! Wow 2 pounds in 5 days that's insane lol! here are some pictures of her laying on the guest bed. I guess any bed or couch will do around here. She is my baby she follows me everywhere and gets a little jealous when any one else is near me. Anyway I also would like to know if you would email me when you are expecting another litter. I love her so much already I think I want another little girl or maybe boy I don't know. After I get her spayed that is! Don't want a house full of babies ha ha. Oh yeah she snores so loud I cant imagine what it will sound like when she's huge! She has semi kicked my husband out of the bed! it's so funny. Have a great Day Heather Sent: Tuesday, July 12, 2005 8:51 AM Subject: Puppy Jan, Sorry I've taken so long to write, summer is such a busy time. Lucy and I have had so much fun. Three months old now, she weighs 33#. I want you to know I have never had a dog with such a wonderful temperament. Housebreaking was easy, she is walking well on a leash and obeys a few commands. Her personality keeps everyone entertained. I would recommend River Valley to anyone interested in a Great Dane. Thank you again. Loree from Kalamazoo
Sent: Sunday, June 12, 2005 11:52 PM Hello, I just wanted to check in with a one week report. Joe has adjusted very nicely to his new home. He went to his first vet appointment and the vet had only wonderful things to say about him, he was very impressed with his personality, good genes! Attached is one of our favorite pictures. Thanks again and we'll send another shot when Joe grows a little more! Ryan, Nicole, Charlotte and Joe! From: carolsue Subject: RE: sebastian and daisy's next litter Jan, Thanks for the reply. Any news on Daisy and Sebastian’s next litter? Also, curious if Goliath is going to be the father of any litters this coming fall? Duke is 160 lbs of joy. He is the tallest Great Dane we have ever come across, he is so large and handsome he leaves people staring with their mouths wide open. He goes everywhere with us and loves attention from adoring fans. Shane and I are expecting a baby in June and we know Duke will be great with a child. Great Danes are such a wonderful dog we are strongly considering getting one of Goliaths puppies in the fall once things calm down a little with the new baby. Thank you, Carrie
Sent: Thursday, February 03, 2005 3:08 PM Hello there! Hello Jan,
I wanted to apologize for not getting this letter to you sooner. We wanted to Thank You so much for our puppy. We love him so much and have gotten so many compliments on him. I took him in today to get a weight check for his heart worm and he is now a whopping 42pds. I wanted to tell you our vet told us to feed him apples and carrots to help with the growth of his bones. He loves them. We can't believe how smart he is. He has picked up on everything we teach him that day. It's awesome!! Thank you again if you ever need anyone to ever call us to ask about our puppy we got from you it's not a problem. We will send pictures soon. Can you send me the picture of his dad again to keep on file to compare? Thank you again Tonya&Nate My name is Carrie, and I am writing to inquirer about Sebastian and Daisy’s next litter. My husband and I bought a puppy from you last year (September 28, 2003 litter). Our dog (Duke) is such a quality boy that one of our very best friends cannot live without one of his own. So, he was wondering when your next litter is and when he could reserve a male. I am always telling him how beautiful your dogs are so I was wondering if you had any pictures of Sebastian? I showed him Daisy on your website. Also, I was wondering if you had any business cards that you could send me. I constantly get questions on where we got such a quality boy. I attached a picture so you could see the three of us. I can’t explain to you how loved this dog is by all who know him. He is 16 months old now and weights 161 pounds. He is an absolute joy to live with. We are considering getting another one in the spring but this time I want one of Goliaths puppies, he is truly magnificent. So, if you could call or email with any information on Sebastian and Daisy’s next litter we can let our friend know a time frame for his puppy. Thank you, Carrie
